Custody Schedule Maker

Make your custody calendar

This free tool sets up your custody schedule for the whole year after you answer four questions. You’ll get a calendar for both homes and a simple one for each of your kids.

A calendar for you and one for your kids

The parents’ calendar

The calendar shows where the kids sleep every night for the next 12 months, holidays included, with the pick-up time on each day they change homes.

  • Print the whole year on one page, free
  • Put the calendar on both phones, kept up to date (in the $19 set)
  • Send a view-only link your co-parent can open without an app or account (in the $19 set)

Our two homes

The kids’ calendar

Each home’s color and name show your kids where they sleep each night, on a page you can print for the fridge.

  • Each child gets their own calendar, with their birthday on it
  • Moving days are marked, so the kids know when they change homes

What’s free and what’s paid

Make, see and print your calendars

Free

Make your calendar with your holidays, see how many nights each parent has, and print it and the kids’ calendars as often as you like, all without an account.

Phone calendars, a share link and a PDF

$19 paid once, covers a year

Or $34 for three years. One payment covers both homes and never renews on its own. When the time you paid for ends, your calendar stays free to make, view and print; the phone calendars, the share link and the PDF just stop updating until you renew.

  • The calendar on both parents’ phones, kept up to date
  • A view-only link for your co-parent, family or sitter
  • A ready-made PDF of the year, each month, the holidays and each child’s calendar, to save or send
  • Updates on both phones and the link whenever you change the calendar

Questions

How are the nights counted?

Each night counts for the home where the kids sleep. The split is how many of those nights each parent has over the next 12 months, so the count always matches the calendar.

What if our schedule isn’t on the list?

Pick “Something else” and draw your own pattern that repeats every one to eight weeks. If your weekends follow the month, pick “1st, 3rd and 5th weekends” instead.

Can I add holidays and school breaks?

Yes. Tick the ones you want on the calendar, from Thanksgiving and Christmas to Hanukkah, Diwali, Eid and spring break, and add your own. For each one, you choose whether to take turns each year, keep it with the same parent every year, split the day, or change just this year. The dates fill in for every year.

Can each child have their own calendar?

Yes. Add each child’s first name and birthday, and each child gets their own kids’ calendar. You choose who has each birthday the same way you do for holidays.

Does this replace our court order?

No. Custody Schedule Maker makes a calendar that’s easy to follow. If the calendar ever differs from your order, follow your order.

Do you keep our information?

Your calendar answers stay in this browser on this device, and we never see them. We don’t ask for addresses or last names, and you don’t make an account. We count visits without knowing who you are; the privacy page has the details.

What’s free, and what costs money?

Making your calendar, seeing the whole year with holidays and the night count, and printing your calendar and the kids’ calendars are free, and they will stay free. The $19 set adds the calendar on both phones, a view-only share link and a ready-made PDF, for one payment that covers a year.

What happens when the paid year ends?

Your calendar keeps working: you can still make, view and print it and the kids’ calendars for free. The phone calendars, the share link and the PDF stop updating until you renew. Nothing renews on its own.
